Customer Due Diligence

(CDD)

Why do I need to fill out a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) form?

Are you wondering why we ask questions about you and your company, such as whether you are politically active or if you do business with certain countries?

This is because, as a financial institution, the Swedish Act on Measures against Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (SFS 2017:630) requires Almi to obtain certain information about our customers in order to assess the risk of our operations being used for criminal purposes.

If you represent a company, you must be able to provide a valid ID and prove that you are an authorised representative of the company. You are also required to disclose the identity of the beneficial owner, i.e., the person or persons who ultimately own or control the company, or who benefit from someone acting on their behalf. The information we gather helps to combat both money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

We ask all of our customers these questions. Your answers are always handled in accordance with the  Swedish Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (SFS 2009:400).
